Bob McChesney

Trombonist Bob McChesney  was born in Baltimore, Maryland and began studying trombone at the age of nine. McChesney holds a bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Fredonia. In 1979, he moved to Los Angeles where he remains, working as a studio musician in a wide variety of musical situations including film, television, records and jingles. McChesney has performed live with Arturo Sandoval, Lalo Schifrin, Frank Sinatra Jr., Rosemary Clooney, and the Woody Herman Orchestra. Some of Bob's film and television credits include "The Seige", "First Wives Club", "Robin Hood - Men in Tights", "George of the Jungle", Dennis the Menace II", TV Series "Jag", "The Simpsons", "Providence", and a variety of cartoon shows. McChesney's debut CD "No Laughing Matter - The Bob McChesney Quartet plays Steve Allen" has received "5 Stars" from the Internet's popular "AllAboutJazz.com" magazine. About McChesney's CD Freddie Hubbard says "The most incredible trombone playing I've heard in a long, long time".
